Je ne semble pas avoir eu la chance de vivre la même expérience que la plupart des gens qui ont commenté. La personne au comptoir à l'entrée a
été "very rude" avec moi. Travaillant moi-même au service de la population, j'ai été des plus surprise de cette "accueil".
L'endroit est plutôt vieillot et déprimant. Je passerai donc mon tour.

I would prefer if it was a quiet space, though! Access to washrooms is meh and the hygiene of many 'patrons' is disturbing. The other day, some woman's stinky armpits were overwhelmingly detectable from accross the room, I had to ask the staff if they could address the issue.

I was impressed by the style and cleanliness of the library from the moment I walked in. It holds a very calm feel and I felt comfortable working there for an entire afternoon. Strong wifi, water fountain, and washrooms are available. One small thing to fix is the chairs are rather old and squeaky. Will be returning here often to work.

Library was nice inside and the people I spoke to were friendly to me, but while I was there for a couple hours I saw the volunteers be extremely disrespectful and short-tempered with other visitors. They had a number of visitors I think who were directed to the library through a partnership of organizations, maybe the YMCA or YWCA, and they were seeking help with computer and printer use, and one of the volunteers or employees directing the area was getting angry, extremely irritated and passive aggressive with the people requesting help. The volunteer/employee appeared to be white and the majority of people seeking help were people of colour and I'd infer fairly new to Montreal, and the attitude the worker had was condescending and racist. Another worker was friendly but still fairly condescending. I am really appalled that a non-profit would be upholding racist and exclusive behaviours towards the exact people receiving their help, and I'm extremely disappointed to see it. I think this happened sometime between the 10th and 20th of September. Id really like to see workers that care about the people they help and are respectful and anti-racist at this library before I consider giving them my money, especially when there are public libraries available.

A very gorgeous library with a fantastic selection of books both in person and online. Along with that, the staff and volunteers are always very helpful and kind. I have always enjoyed my visits to this library and I will continue to come back for the peace it offers in addition to the wonderful services. Sign up online to receive email updates about events as well as they are really helpful. Overall a great addition to the community.

Environment is downtown, near shops and malls. Very conducive but bring some money. Time on the computer is $4 and printing is 35 cents. Staff is helpful and cheerful.

The Library's used bookstore has some real gems at rock-bottom prices. That said, its opening hours are not practical (noon and 3pm Wednesday to Friday). The rest of the library is easy of access and well-maintained.
